KBRI Phnom Penh Welcomes Krya & Indonesian Delegation at ICIA 2026

The Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh officially welcomed the Indonesian delegation participating in the International Creativity and Innovation Award (ICIA) 2026, held in Cambodia from April 24–26, 2026. The delegation brought together approximately 30 participants from across Indonesia, including representatives from Krya Global, university and high school students, educators, and young innovators.
The reception reflected Indonesia’s growing commitment to supporting youth innovation and international collaboration. Through ICIA 2026, Indonesian participants had the opportunity to connect with innovators, educators, startups, and institutions from 27 countries while showcasing their ideas and solutions on a global stage.
During the welcoming session, the Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh, Krishnajie, expressed appreciation for the active participation of Indonesian delegates in international innovation initiatives. He highlighted the importance of global exposure and cross-cultural collaboration in strengthening the capacity of Indonesian youth to create meaningful and impactful solutions for society.
As the organizer behind ICIA, Krya Global believes that innovation is not only about competition, but also about learning, collaboration, and creating sustainable impact. ICIA 2026 became a platform where participants could exchange ideas, develop interdisciplinary perspectives, and transform creative concepts into real-world solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
For many participants, the experience extended beyond presentations and awards. ICIA also opened opportunities to build international networks, gain insights into emerging global innovation trends, and foster future collaborations across countries and disciplines.
One of the most memorable moments of ICIA 2026 was the official handover announcing Indonesia as the next host country for the upcoming ICIA event. The announcement was made during the Award Announcement and Global Celebration on April 26, attended by distinguished guests including Cambodia’s Minister of Education, Youth and Sport.
This milestone marks an important step in strengthening Indonesia’s position as a growing hub for innovation, creativity, and youth-driven collaboration. Through the next ICIA edition in Indonesia, Krya Global hopes to continue empowering young innovators while creating broader international partnerships and opportunities for meaningful impact.
The warm reception from KBRI Phnom Penh symbolizes more than diplomatic support — it represents a shared commitment to encouraging Indonesian youth to learn, collaborate, and contribute actively within the global innovation ecosystem. As preparations begin for the next ICIA in Indonesia, the momentum from Cambodia serves as a strong foundation for even greater collaboration and innovation in the future.
